Manifesting your Intentions through Vision Boards

The power of intentions and the ability to invite in the abundance we desire is real. We can definitely live our lives through our intentions and our senses of feeling and emotions. Although this is a practice that takes time and lots of patience (just like any other mindfulness aspect) you can live an intentional life.

One way you can extend your visions and feelings is through the creation of vision boards. This practice is becoming more and more popular over the years and is a fun process when you can share it with friends. As a group setting, or workshop, it can be even more powerful as you’re collectively setting the intentions and wishes together. The power of community is huge and is something that we all need and crave. So getting your tribe together on a vision board quest (even virtually) will bring you so much clarity, positivity and joy.

A vision board is your creation of everything you want to be, have and do. Created with simple tools of pictures, magazine cut outs, a white board, scissors and glue stick. That’s all you need to create your vision board!

Before you begin there are a few things you need to know. First of all, you need to believe in manifestation and not just merely for the sake of ‘wishing’. You really have to set your mind to and believe that the Universe, or divine entity, will bring you what you put out there. As the law of attraction notes, you attract what you put out. So if your energy is negative or you fear that the idea of manifestation is ingenuine, then it simply won’t work. To just say, “I believe” is not enough.

Secondly, know exactly what you want to manifest. You have to be very clear and precise on what you want to bring into your life so think wisely! Give yourself the time to determine your wishes and desires and make sure that’s really what you want. Sometimes you might think you know what you want but then if you really sit back and think about it, it might not be what you thought initially. Manifesting our desires into our lives will create change and with change comes consequences so be very weary of what you put out there.

Lastly, you must live in the present moment. Again, if your worries and fears still reside in the past or the future your energy will be void and make it hard for you to take action on your board fully. With this said, it’s important to begin your mindfulness practice first and focus on you and your self awareness. Once you are living more in the moment and have released the pains and stories of the past and future you can then put your energy on what you want to invite into your life. By practicing self awareness prior to moving on to manifestation will give you the space to fully engage and find the clarity that you need to move forward.

Are you ready? Prior to creating your vision board you might want to find time beforehand to write down your intentions and what you want to invite into your life. This way, when you sit down to design your board you’ll only have to find the images and pictures to represent them.

What you’ll need:

  • White board (cardboard or paper, big or small depending on your visions)

  • Magazines and pictures you want to use

  • Glue stick

  • Scissors

You can get as creative as you want. You can also use stickers, scrapbook materials, etc…

Now all you have to do is start going through the magazines and cut out any images, words, phrases, etc… that are aligned with your visions. Be as clear as possible when choosing your images and glue them to the board as you set your intentions. You can recite them out loud if you choose or in your head. I like to light a candle in the room to bring in more clarity. If you’re in a group setting everyone can share their intentions and dreams. By saying them out loud they are sent into the Universe and you can really feel the energy of your intention as well making it even more powerful.

When you are done with your board make sure to put it somewhere where you can see it every day. Spend a little time looking at it and imaging yourself as if it's already come true. The more you do this the more you invite in the abundance.

I hope you consider making, or re-visiting, your vision board and that all your dreams come true! Sending you lots of positive vibes 😊
