Resources for the Expat Connection - Building your Tribe Abroad

InterNations.org

This is an awesome resource for the expat community. They are a global organization offering so many events in 420 cities worldwide! The member ambassadors organize a variety of events, both in person (and now virtual) from dining, hiking, writing to professional networking. They also offer relocation services, host a market place, and so much more. I have attended so many events around London, when I lived in the UK, and also in San Francisco and I have never been disappointed. As a matter of fact, many of my close friends I met through InterNations. It is an annual paid membership and very much worth it! Click the link here to check it out and join!

Meetup

This is the most popular online platform to connect with like minded people and create new friendships in your area (or wherever you might be!) Although these events are always in person, there are some hosts that have been running virtual calls under various topics since the hit of Covid-19. If you don't know about it then click the link below to read more. It's the most popular platform for making new friends around the hobbies and events that you love.

Girl Gone international

This is another great resource for connecting with women expats in your area. These groups are in most major cities around the United States and they've gone international! Your town or city host will create events based around anything from dining to book clubs. Some have been hosting virtual yoga classes and other creative events via Zoom just to stay connected. It's a great way to meet women, young and older, and is also a great way to connect and ask questions if you're new to the area.

The Expat Woman Club

This is a global club for professional women who look to connect, share and support each other through their businesses and personal experiences. Although I have only been a member since this summer, it's been a wonderful way to connect with other women expats, gain/offer support, create friendships and participate in workshops and challenges. The women are all amazing and it's fun to stay connected! This is also an annual paid membership. You can read more in the link below

Women in Business

I became a member with the "WIB" club just this year as well and it's been absolutely amazing! The founder, Raimonda Jan, is lovely and she offers so much value and opportunities to build, scale and promote your business as an entrepreneur. Whether you are at the beginning stages of your business or have been in business for awhile and seek to stay on top of the most up to date trainings and skills to keep your business growing, this is the club for you! I have gained so much knowledge and support, not just on a professional level but also on a personal one. Not to mention the friendships I have made so far, all the women in this club are so encouraging, helpful and inspiring. We are constantly learning from each other. Now this club is so worth the investment if you're in the start up world. Click on the link below to read more!

I hope you check out these groups, they're all so amazing in their own right :)

Staying connected, especially during the current times, is so vital for staying grounded and connected to your joy. Don't lose yourself in the uphill battles, just remember that you are never alone. There are always people around you who feel the same. So get out there and CONNECT!

With Gratitude,
